Emergency
Power
In the event of long or short term power
outages, a generator or alternative power
supply can provide you with increased safety
and warmth.
The key is to evaluate what you really need
to power in an emergency and how much power
you will need to meet those requirements.
All you really need is a lamp or two, a TV,
or radio if broadcast is available, the refrigerator,
and a microwave oven. None of these items
require a large amount of power, but they
do if you want to power all of them at the
same time.
